One-Bowl Carrot Hand Pie with Fruit Jam

- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, melted butter, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
- Add the egg, grated carrot, and milk to the dry ingredients. Mix together until a soft dough forms, ensuring not to overmix.
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 0.5 cm thick. Cut into 10 cm circles using a pastry cutter or knife.
- Place a spoonful of fruit jam on one half of each circle and fold the other half over to create a semi-circle. Press the edges to seal. Crimp with a fork for a decorative touch.
- Place the hand pies on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
