Start by boiling the water in a kettle or a pot. Once it reaches a rolling boil, remove it from heat.
Add the black tea bags to the hot water and let it steep for about 5–7 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer the tea.
While the tea is steeping, slice the lemon and apples into thin pieces.
After steeping, remove the tea bags and stir in the honey or agave syrup until fully dissolved.
Add the sliced lemon, sliced apples, and fresh mint leaves to the warm tea. Stir gently to combine.
Allow the mixture to cool down at room temperature for about 10 minutes, then transfer to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.
Once chilled, strain the mixture into a large pitcher to remove solid bits (lemon, apple, and mint).
Serve over a tall glass filled with ice cubes, garnishing with extra lemon slices and mint leaves if desired. Enjoy your refreshing iced tea!
