  • 100 g strawberries (fresh, hulled and chopped)
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1-2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)

  • (for sprinkling) Ground cinnamon optional

Method
 

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice milk, pomegranate juice, and chopped strawberries.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is warm but not boiling (about 3-5 minutes).
  3. Add the ground cardamom and honey (or maple syrup). Whisk until well combined and the honey melts completely.
  4. If desired, blend the mixture for a smoother texture and return it to the saucepan for warming.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary, then pour the drink into servings glasses.
  6. For serving, sprinkle a dash of ground cinnamon on top. Serve warm or with ice cubes for a chilled version.
