- Begin by washing the pears thoroughly. Peel and core the pears, then cut them into small chunks for easier cooking.
- In a saucepan, combine the pear chunks and water. Bring it to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Reduce the heat and let the pears simmer for about 10 minutes, until they are very soft and easily pierced with a fork.
- Remove from heat and let the mixture cool for 2 minutes.
- Transfer the pears and any remaining cooking water into a blender or food processor. Blend until you achieve a smooth puree.
- If the puree is too thick for your preference, you can add more water to reach the desired consistency.
- Serve the puree in small portions and allow to cool to a safe temperature before feeding.
