Ingredients

  • 200 g ripe peaches, pitted and diced
  • 100 g kiwi fruit, peeled and diced
  • 300 ml kefir
  • 50 g rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp honey (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch salt
  • (for serving) Crushed ice optional
  • (for garnish) Fresh mint leaves optional

Equipment

  • Blender (for a creamier broth)
  • Large saucepan
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Tall glass or mug

Method

  1. Begin by cooking the oats: In a saucepan, combine the rolled oats and 300 ml of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until they soften and thicken. Remove from heat.
  2. In a blender, add the diced peaches, kiwi, kefir, honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Blend on high until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  3. Once the oats are cooked, merge them gently into the blended fruit mixture for added creaminess and texture.
  4. For serving, if you prefer this as a warm drink, pour it directly into your tall glass or mug while still hot. If you prefer a chilled option, allow to cool slightly, then blend with some ice before serving.
  5. Optionally, garnish with fresh mint leaves and serve with crushed ice or warm. Enjoy!
