  • 250 ml water or low-sodium vegetable broth

Method
 

  1. Start by peeling and dicing the sweet potatoes into evenly sized chunks, about 2 cm each, to ensure they cook evenly.
  2. In a pot, combine the diced sweet potatoes with the water or low-sodium vegetable broth. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes or until the sweet potatoes are very soft and easily pierced with a fork.
  4. Remove the pot from heat and allow it to rest for about 5 minutes to cool slightly.
  5. Transfer the cooked sweet potatoes to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth, adding additional water or broth as needed to achieve the desired consistency for your baby.
  6. If desired, add a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor and blend briefly to combine.
  7. Allow the puree to cool before serving in small portions.
