Method
- Peel and dice the sweet potatoes into uniform pieces to ensure even cooking.
- In a pot, combine the diced sweet potatoes and water or vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer and cover. Cook for about 20–25 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are fork-tender.
- Using a blender or food processor, carefully transfer the cooked sweet potatoes and their cooking liquid. Blend until smooth, adding more liquid as needed to reach your desired consistency.
- Allow the puree to cool for 5 minutes. Serve in small portions appropriate for your baby’s age, and offer extra servings in the fridge for a few days or freeze leftovers for later use.
