Egg and Avocado Mash Baby Meal Variation 14
Ingredients
Equipment
Method
- Begin by placing the eggs in a small pot and covering them with water. Bring the water to a boil over medium heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the eggs simmer for 8-10 minutes for hard-boiled eggs.
- Once cooked, carefully drain the hot water and transfer the eggs to a bowl of cold water to cool.
- While the eggs are cooling, cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Once the eggs are cool enough to handle, peel them and add to the mixing bowl with the avocado.
- Use a fork or potato masher to mash the eggs and avocado together until you reach a smooth or chunky texture, depending on your baby's preferences.
- Drizzle in the olive oil and mix well until combined. If desired, add a pinch of salt or lemon juice for flavor (if baby is over 1 year).
- Serve in small portions, making sure it’s cool enough for your little one to enjoy!
