Ingredients

  • 300 ml coconut water
  • 150 g pomegranate seeds
  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • (to serve or blend) Ice cubes
  • for garnish Fresh mint leaves optional

Equipment

  • Blender (for a creamier broth)
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Serving glasses
  • Ice cube tray (for homemade ice cubes)

Method

  1. Begin by placing the coconut water, pomegranate seeds, banana, cinnamon powder, and honey or maple syrup into a blender. If you prefer a chilled smoothie, add a handful of ice cubes.
  2. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 30–45 seconds. You can adjust the thickness by adding more coconut water or ice as needed.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness or cinnamon based on preference. If you'd like a warmer drink, you can gently heat your coconut water before blending.
  4. Once blended, pour the smoothie into serving glasses.
  5. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves and enjoy right away, either cold with ice or as a warm option!

Notes

For a dairy-free boost, simply use nut milk instead of coconut water! Don't hesitate to play around with additional flavors; berries or a scoop of nut butter makes for a lovely enhancement. If you enjoy your smoothies to be extra cold, prepare ice cubes beforehand from coconut water for a creamier consistency. This smoothie is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours—just give it a good shake before serving! Enjoy making this delightful drink your own!
