Method
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together vegetable oil, paprika, black pepper, salt, and garlic powder. Add the beef steak (or chicken) and marinate for at least 20 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add warm water and knead until a soft dough forms. Add olive oil and knead for another 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- While the dough is resting, heat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Grill the marinated meat for about 5-7 minutes per side or until it reaches your desired doneness (for chicken, ensure it is fully cooked at 75°C / 165°F). Allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Divide the dough into four equal portions. Roll each portion into a circle about 1/4 inch thick. Cook each flatbread on the grill or in a pan for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
- In the same grill pan, toss the sliced bell peppers and onions. Grill for 3-4 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
- Slice the grilled meat and arrange it on a plate alongside the flatbread, sautéed vegetables, and any optional toppings you desire.
