- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt until combined.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs with milk and melted butter until smooth. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips to the batter.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium heat (about 180°C / 350°F).
- Once the oil is hot, drop spoonfuls of the fritter batter into the oil, frying them in batches to avoid overcrowding. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Remove the fritters with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Optionally, dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy these fritters warm!
