  • 300 g ripe pears, peeled and chopped
  • 30 g chia seeds
  • 100 ml water (can adjust for desired consistency)
  • A pinch of cinnamon (for flavor enhancement, optional) optional

Method
 

  1. Start by peeling and chopping the ripe pears into small cubes.
  2. In a pot, combine the chopped pears with 100 ml of water. Cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes, or until the pears are very soft and easily mashable.
  3. Once cooked, remove the pot from heat and allow it to cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
  4. Transfer the soft pears to a blender or food processor. Add the chia seeds and blend until smooth. If a thinner consistency is desired, add more water or breast milk gradually while blending.
  5. Taste the puree and stir in a pinch of cinnamon if desired, then blend again to combine.
  6. Pour the mixture into a mixing bowl and let it cool completely before serving to your baby. Serve in small portions suitable for little ones!
