Ingredients
  

  • 250 g ground turkey
  • 150 g frozen peas
  • 1 medium carrot, finely diced
  • 500 ml low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • a pinch salt
  • a dash mild garlic powder optional

  • Heatproof mixing bowl
  • Blender or food processor

Method
 

  1. In a medium pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the finely diced carrot and sauté for about 3 minutes until slightly softened.
  2. Add the ground turkey into the pot. Cook for about 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spoon until it is no longer pink.
  3. Pour in the low-sodium chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil.
  4. Stir in the frozen peas and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for another 10 minutes, until the peas and carrots are tender.
  5. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes. For a smoother texture, blend the mixture in a blender or food processor until you reach the desired consistency.
  6. Allow the meal to cool to a safe temperature before serving small portions to your little one.
