- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a 9-inch round baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Whisk together until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract and whisk until well incorporated.
- Sift in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the sliced apples and coconut flakes until they are evenly distributed in the batter.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
- Slice into neat pieces and serve warm or at room temperature, optionally garnished with whipped cream or extra coconut flakes.

Notes
Adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg can elevate the flavor even more!
If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
Reheat slices in the oven for a few minutes to bring back that fresh-baked taste.
Enjoy your baking adventure!
